( He's 65 now, and still cute! )

Back when this picture was taken, he had no way of knowing that someday he would experience "chemo!" He has been through alot,

and is still upbeat, and a joy to talk to on the phone. He has realized that life is very precious, and not to take one day for granted! During this ordeal he never let himself be around people that were negative, he changed his way of eating, he exercised, he coped with this burden, And I'm happy to say, HE IS IN REMISSION!

I only hope and pray, that if I ever hear that diagnosis, I can be as great as he has been! He's my hero!!

OK, so here I am to try this once again! - - WHAT FUN!!

Life is hard to be sure, but with many rewards also.

THE FALL
My life is too short - - It seems for awhile, "I am beautiful ! I am free ! Life is good ! I have plenty of nurishment, sunshine & food ! A lovely home !"

And then everything has changed as the seasons do - I am swept into a tight spot, neglected, aging too quickly, getting ugly, wrinkled and krinkly. People trodding on me, pushing me around like yesterday's news. They sneer at me with disgust!

I ask myself, "What did I do to deserve this ? I gave them all great joy once, and now they hate me !" I am forgotten in a trench..Never again to be free and beautiful.....

Wait !... I've got it ! I know what my new purpose is !
I will nurish others that are now free and beautiful ! .... YES !
Life goes on in many forms !
I am proud of my life - - - as a once beautiful LEAF !
